The price of the ram should be reduced

After the siege rework, the battering ram is the worst unit un costo/effec, so much so that it becomes useless due to cost effectiveness.

I propose a cost of 150w to the ram instead of 300, so 2 rams can be made instead of 1 and the unjustified nerf is compensated.

Maybe you should think about other changes like the rework to the Siege Tower or making a dynasty Landmark with China 15/20% cheaper, but that’s for later.

P.S: It was not nerfed VS vills, but it was nerfed vs arrows (Arrow TC, archers, zhuge nu, keeps…).

Then you could make 10 rams and insta delete any landmark in feudal…

No more updates that buffs feudal rushes, thanks, it is good a it is now.

IMO need more buffs that toward Dark age aggression!! Fights should start asAP… NOT IN CASTLE

After re-reading the patch notes im not sure anymore if villagers were buffed or nerfed.

  • Villagers continue to use torches against siege units and gain +2 damage vs siege
  • Horseman melee weapons gain +10 bonus damage to siege

As for horseman it says “bonus damage” while for villagers its only “damage”. Could it be that villageres extra damage against siege has been reduced from previously x damage to 2 damage? Would probably require some ingame testing but I dont have the time today.

villager got buffed slightly vs siege; they get 12 torch.

From what @SavageEmpire566 has said is that villagers will do 10+2 torch damage VS siege instead of 10+10, if so, it would look different and maybe there is no need to reduce the price. Let’s hope how.

From what I’ve seen, the number of torches is the same, yes, since the second TC can target units, perhaps a reduction to 250 wood to the battering ram could be studied to better punish a boom.

Personally I do not agree with HP reduction of rams. Because rams can be burnt very easily with new HP change. Also it will be useless against China because their arrowslit penetrates rams armor and a single keep could kill ram with just its handcannon without any unit burning it down. Now it will kill before it reaches the castle or main TC.

Are you sure it ignores armor?
In theory rams have 30 ranged defense while hancannon slits deal 25 ranged damage every 3 seconds so it should be actually worse than arrows (10 ranged damage every 1 second).

Try ram against chinese castle. They fire multiple handcannons.

They got nerfed.
It was 10 + 10 vs siege, now it is 10 + 2.

if you should lower the price to rush in feudal or the meta will be alone, boom

Incoming change won’t nerf Ram against vils. Ram HP will be reduced but so is vil’s damage bonus against siege. It takes 35 torches in both cases (700 HP vs 20 dmg → 420 HP vs 12 dmg).

Please be informed before making any suggestions.

maybe you should play it at PUP? Had a game, 2 rams kill one HRE Tower near his base TC.
20 vills are at TC and shoot at the rams and after the tower was finisihed 1 ram was half down, I move to the tc and it goes completely down only against TC fire with arrows, are you serious??? arrows shouldnt do so much damage against rams

See the message above. I already made the correction. I have played the PuP and rams felt weak, it was more because of the TC arrows.
