The solution is simple - manors should take up 2x more space

I’ve put a lot of deep thought into lancaster. I personally think the civ is an interesting design however it does need some fine tuning.

By making the manors take up twice the current amount of space, it wouldnt be possible to build within the radius of all other defensive emplacents, it would also make the counterplay practically more effective, since currently the smaller size of the manor makes it quite difficult to find surface area with RAMS in a feudal push.

I think this would be a significant change that would balance the civ greatly.

I think it’s a totally unnecessary change and defeats the point of the lancaster castle.

if manors were twice the size then lancaster castle, if placed in the open, could still defend at least 4 from a torch range, but not 6 like it can now
