The support unit of war all Civs

Why don’t we all civs units, when we have a support marching beside our army?? We can hear the shouting of the troops but no support units. I think it would be a cool idea to hear the support unit beating loud to signify the trek to battle. This would make the battle experience more cinematic and create better immersion within Joing the game.

This whole post New DLC on the idea that in future updates we are going to get more access to military musicians, rather than the current niche access through the support units

Musicians should be as universal as Settlers/Villagers - litterally every nation, culture, tribe, etc made use of music in some kind of military action.

At the most basic level War Drums were the most widely used, but there’s plenty of scope for many other musicans - fifers. pipers, bugels, trumpets, conches, for marches, communication and call to arms.

In-game said Drummers/Fifers/Buglers/etc could be enabled via shipment - ‘Field Musicians’ for example to which the musican unit becomes available to train at the barracks, or shippable as groups of units. They could be capped in unit quanity or soft-capped by being very expensive in resource.

As for the Hannover Drummer, perhaps it could be a ‘better’ version over the standard ones (the standard being similar in stats to the current Hannover Drummer) or just be replaced entirely.

I’d really love, is a total Command Unit - a purely support ‘crew’ of people consisting of a General/Officer/Leader with a Flagbearer and Musicians - acting as a single unit (in much the same way artillery crews do) and Home city’s card the mechanisms from Cossacks and American conquest’s game

Oh same here. I’d love a Rise of Nation’s style command unit comprised of a group of units (arguably this was just for their ‘Patriot’ unit, however that was just a better General) - heck the various artillery crews/petards operating as a singular unit show that it is feasible.

Actually even if Rise of Nation’s command units are rather abstract, they do bring forward some great ideas. For example the unit doesn’t attack, rather give various bonuses and stances/modes to surrounding units - such as Entrenchment where sandbags/gabions appear around static troops (this was my fav tactic) General | Rise of Nations Wiki | Fandom

If I was given the keys to the AOE3 DE development room (and some err, actual talent!), I’d totally add a new building to the roster - the Military Academy where you could train Command Units or just ship them in.

(sorry, this is more a wishful-thinking post!)
