Hi guys, I have a question about Thor’s dwarves. The description says that they collect resources in the same way as gatherers. But then he also says that normal dwarves harvest 20% slower. I didn’t understand the difference… with Thor, do the dwarves I produce collect resources like gatherers or not?
Almost like gatherers without upgrades.Lets say a greek villeger is a 100% rate:
- gatherer is 95%
- dwarf is 80% for food and wood and 120% for gold
- Thor’s dworves are 92% for food and wood and 120% on gold.
So only 3% difference compared to 15% of regular dwarf.
Upgrades complicate it a bit, as they are based on the base value. So a 10% upgrade is 9.5% for gatherer, and 8% for dwarves, even for Thor’s dwarves (not 9.2%).
So with more upgrades they are still better than regular dwarves but become worse and worse than gatherers.

ok, it was just to see if it was worth producing dwarves from the city center
I use dwarves for gold, and gatherers for food and wood. Regardless of what God I use.

You need to gather gold, and dwarfs are very effective in that
Aside of this, specifikaly Thor’s dwarfs are not not bad in gathering other resorces, so You can save food for training, in the situation You need it

Dwarves mine Gold faster then Gatherers collect food.
50 Gold is easier to get then 50 Food for Thor so Dwarves are kinda cheaper then Gatherers.
But you get free Dwarves though your armoury anyway.

You’d normally want to only use dwarfs in arhaic, even for food. Then you can switch to gatherers+dwarfs.
