Timeline of 3K campaigns ends in 208?

I heard about it from this forum.
I can not believe it because there are more things after Chibi.
I would like to point out that in the novel “The Romance of 3 Kingdoms” the battle of Chibi ended in Chapter 50 (120 chapters in all). Zhuge Liang, a main character of the story, the primier of the Shu-Han Kingdom, died in 234 (Chapter 104). So what did the devs do???

3K DLC should be on Chronicles or even RoR, period!

It must be put in a Chronicle.
Sadly, it is not complete even for a Chronicle! :frowning:

We don’t have Wei, Shu or Wu in 208.
This fact makes the 3 Civs ridiculous.
And here comes a new question: what Civ will the other warlords (like Lü Bu or Yuan Shao) be? Did the devs ever think of this question??

What kind of nonsense are you writing?

That there are no Wei, Shu or Wu states in 208.

There is the Han Empire, under the control of Cao Cao, who does have the title ‘‘Duke of Wei’’, and warlords who challenge him. The Three Kingdoms are not established and it will be many years until that happens.

I dont know what would be funnier, seeing Yan Baihu with a Wu civ or the medieval Chinese civ. I’d assume they’d use the rename civ triggers… but then why not give the civs better names for the medieval era and rename all civs in the campaign back to Shu, Wei and Wu? I dont get it.

Try not to challenge Chinese player’s knowledge of Chinese history. Chinese players probably know more than non-Chinese players about Chinese history.

Seem many people in devs just read the Three Kingdom to Battle of Red Cliff and drop after that lol.
Unbelievable we have a Three Kingdoms campaign but without Three Kingdoms

In Battle for Greece, all factions are represented by either Athenians, Spartans, or Achaemenids.

I’m no historian but judging by the story, those region are heavily influenced by Athena/Sparta/Greek culture (and indeed, they used triggers to rename those Greek factions to ‘Greek’), so it make sense to me.

But for 3K, once again, that’s the problem when you design a civs based on a specific political entity instead of a culture. How does Shu influence anyone when they’re not even founded? UU like Tiger Cavalry (虎豹騎) is only ever used by Wei, it also makes no sense for other factions to have them.

It will be funny if it is medieval Chinese vs 3K civs;

It would be even more funny if other factions also used 3K civs, for example, the Battle of Guandu is confirmed as one of scenarios, Yuan Shao, also a northern warlord, will they use Wei as civ as well? When Yuan Shao is the one who wanted to destroy Wei (Cao Cao)?

Yeah unfortunately it seems they are only showing the “pop culture” of ROTK. For Wu and Wei it isn’t as bad (still pretty bad), but for Shu? I couldn’t imagine a Liu Bei/Shu campaign that ends at Red cliffs! If anything it should just be the half way point (If even).

Battle of Red Cliffs in 208 AD.

Wei founded in 220 AD and officially ended the Han dynasty.
Shu founded in 221 AD, as a response. (Their official name is still Han, since they claim themselves as rightful inheritors of Han)
Wu founded in 222 AD.

It would’ve been sick to have the “Nan Man” too.

Dude, I do not that either. This user was a Multiaccount and that is, why I wrote this comment against him. He insulted me on a another topic for nothing, for which he was now correctly banned.

Yes, I have always respected that.

Yes, Battle of Red Clips was before 3 Kingdoms.

Thanks for the exact time informations concerning the 3 kingdom civ variants.

2333333 (it means haha btw)

I try to take the forum comments serious, but not everyone does that.
