In regards to the disdain of black forest, Iove the map, grew up playing it a bunch, I honestly hate the disdain it has by some some of the playerbase and would like to see it in the queue more often. I don’t view it as a ‘noob only’ map, it simply has a separate play-style to it similar to how different arabia and arena and four lakes can be from eachother.
I imagine that prejudice against the map and labeling it ‘noob only’ is due to the amount of lobbies that say ‘noob only’ on both HD and DE through the years. Easily accessible isn’t a cap on how hard it can become. It’s harder than amazon tunnel due to it’s multiple possible fronts in most of the map, where as amazon tunnel is a singular front until cut in the late game and even then I don’t consider amazon tunnel a noob map either.
I’d argue that the two defining factors to noob friendliness is currently the % system and the treaty system respectively.
