Too many Toppics I would like to talk about

It’s a general issue.
And to big part of myself, as I’m not as active as i’d like to.

So i try to reduce it to the most impactful points. And the ones I think can be adressed to increase the perception ofthe game. Cause there are ones I see but aren’t really adressable short-term.

First ist pathing. I know you hear it all the time. But I only focus on the pathing issues which affect micro.
I’ve seen a lot of this recently. I don’t know how they come from. But for my instnace, pathing on short distances should be “smooth” when there are no obstacles in the way. I don’t want to get into more complicated scenarios. But this has to be the first premise_ If there are no Obsatcles on short distances => chose the direct path. Why? Cause once it becomes more complicated, it’s natural that there might be mistakes. But of there aren’r any obstacles there is no ecuse for wantering around.

A seond effectI observed which is probably not intendend, that i box formation there is a seemingly a fractional delay before hitbox overlaps are applicated. I’m not a professional programmer, so please try to undertsand what I mean. It means that if you use that, you can “stack” units and even “dive” enemy lines without interfering the common interaction rules. I’ve only tested this with box formations, so idk if it is possible with others, but it allows you to basically ignore the common hitbox rules if you’re fast enough with your effective actions. I don’t want to go into details here. But it’s definitely an issue, which weirdly enough is more applicable to melee units (Steppe Lancers / Shrivmashas especially) - as stacking low HP Ranged units always poses the risk of being flattenened by a single Siege (Blast Radius) Attack.

Ofc this is very technical and complicated Issue, this might take some time to reflect about. I hope I can give some insight report about - but I have to admit I’m not feeling as confident about to report anymore cause of the next issue.

I’d call it “execution beats it all”. And I’m not jealus or whatever. I have great respect to the players who just have better execution than me. That’s fine. The issue is in the grand scheme. There are a few basic skills - and when you master them you are sucessfull. At the current stage these are pressuring the opponent and utilizing your timings, These implicate that you have to be the one which determines the game (pace).
It’s ofc way more complicated than that. And you have to pay respect to that it’s not so eaily explainable.
But it’s Replicatory for the most part. And based on the execution of very intense and inadaptable builds.Which ofc many of the very top guys can counteract (Mbl is a very good example for that). But at a bit lower level is very hard to. You just get overwhealmed too fast before you can counteract. With very good unit conol ofc. Which is absolutel legit.
Some people call ir “Hamsering”- Idk if I want to use that term. Cause I respect that play and don’t want to reduce it.
For ne the major issue is, that it completely determines the current meta and is almost impossible to counteract with “knowledge”, The only real way is to outexectue the “Hamster” - which is almost entirley based on the eApm compariseon.

Ofc this is an “unfair” demand to the devs, as the basline of the gane has been setup decades ago. Only because now Hera and his fellowship has “figured it out” we have to find new ways?

That’s life, unfortunately. Sometimes things work well for decades, but then they brake because someoen figures out one breakpoint. And unfortunately I don’ even have a solution here. I just can tell from my personal perspective that mobility has been underestimated and especially defences still don’t help against mobile targets,

I’d like to talk about lie 3-4 more points but I think it’s enough for now.
Funnily enough, these are only points to come up for as the other, more debalancing points of the games actually have been fixed. And we now come to a point to discuss about “balancig general perceptional applications” of the game…
And I come more from the strategical concepts part. So I feel atm disadvantaged. But ofc i have to respect other percetptions.

Isn’t the box formation stacking fixed on the last Hotfix?
