u should put town centers in statistics under economy tab.

Meaning more tcs = higher score? Don’t think that scenario would be a good idea since score already indirectly accounts for tc numbers by gathered ressources which is what the score is supposed to reflect (as opposed to mere villagers or buildings).
I am seeing no purpose for having this.
I think he just means putting number of TCs built as part of the end-game statistics.
It would be nice to see, IMO.

To me it is quite meaningless. 
yes exactly. not higher score or something. just the stats of how many tc:s.
