Loving Tuqhlaq but there are a few issues that make it very annoying to play the civ.
Worker elephants are included in “select all cavalry” so that hotkey becomes useless. Very frustrating to usually play with this hotkey but if you accidentally use it on this faction, you end up bringing all of your worker elephants from all over the map.
If you have right clicked a resource (food/wood/stone/gold) with a worker elephant, it will be included in the “select wood/food/gold/stone villager” hotkey. This shouldn’t happen. It’s common to shift right click resources wiith workers + the worker elephant so when they finish that particular resource they’ll all move on to the next afterwards.
Please add a new hotkey “select all healer elephants”
Selection hitboxes for worker elephants need some tuning. When there are villagers gathering a resource, it’s quite difficult to right click onto a worker elephant that is sitting on top of them.. I think increasing the hitbox size but also adding a cursor change when hovering over the worker elephants (like with resrouce dropoff buildings) will help.
The hotkeys also do NOT work at all with fully remappable hotkeys! It just defaults everything. TUQHLAQ UNIQUE STUFFDOESNT EXIST IN THE FULLY REMAPPABLE HOTKEY LAYOUT !!!
I think these new civs are great and i could not care less whether they are variants or not, but please get some basic QA. Every DLC there are new hotkey issues on top of the ones that have existed for years without ever getting fixed…
Id have to either rewire my brain to the default hotkeys (which i dont want to do) or Im forced to not play this faction. which is probably what’ll end up happening because this isnt going to be fixed either…
Yes. Unfortunately Relic probably have a skeleton crew for QA, and they often miss these kinds of things because they aren’t pro gamers and don’t really use this type of stuff.
