Two empty "unknown app" DLCs at SteamDB: the next 2026 DLCs?

They were for their own dlc yes, then they picked random names, but some people are thinking that from Alexandros dlc (which codename was Peru, just before the Last Chieftain) that the names are foreshadowing the next dlc. But we’ll have to wait and see if it’s real or just a random occuring thing.

“Peru” is the codename of TTK, the codenames of Chronicles are “Paphos” (BfG) and “Providence” (AtG). The respective string files are named accordingly.

Haha, great find. Who knows, maybe there is a “deeper meaning”…

In my case it was the other way around…

No, they’re regional, just like the longboat…

Yes, it’s the longhouse like in AoM and AoE 4…

Why would other western european civis get a long ship?

I don’t know, it’s something the developers think… Did the Scots, Irish and Icelanders use longships in the Viking Age? (The Portuguese and Spanish didn’t, because they used the carrack and the nao, much later)…

Celtic people are not vikings why on earth should they get long ships? Lets not add things for the sake of adding.

Yes, I know…it could be a cultural exchange, but that would be a bit of a stretch…

FYI, around July 26, another unknown app, 5023150, appeared together with 2DE.

There could be 3 DLCs in the pipeline now.

There are 3 dlc in the pipeline, like we know that for long now.

However the bundle with Age2DE is interesting

How did you find this? It’s not even on the AOE2DE steamdb page under DLCs but it is connected to AOE2DE.

Yes, let the party continue…maybe it could be another pack of moving portraits, just like with AoE 3 they’re going to release the vol. 2 pack of explorer skins along with the Baltic DLC…the devs said “now we’re really going to squeeze every last penny out of the entire saga”…

It’s one of only two recent changes in its update history to say:

This change affects 2 items.

The previous one, if I’m reading it right, is an automated review score change for Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy that should have no reason affecting AoE2DE.

The new change might be another of these weird automated Steam updates. It can’t prove app 5023150 is an AOE DLC.

Historically, not really a stretch:

Note: I’m definitely not suggesting that Celts should get longboats.

Norse-Gaels can be represented by Vikings/Norse IMHO.

Maybe even by Saxons is game?

It’s probably not an AoE1/AoE2/AoE3/AoE4/AoM dlc. But it may be an AoE related app coming in a bundle with AoE2DE. If it would be a DLC for one of the already existing app, it would be listed linked to it, normally.

The interesting thing about the bundle is that only AoE2DE is in it. So maybe a game by Xbox studio, but probably nothing like AoE5 (because the bundle would include all AoE in it, if you see what I mean).

They will probably speak about this at the game convention at the end of august, the app coming in the bundle.

Yes, at least in the Dark Age… the Saxons settled in Britain at the end of the 5th century (as seen in Vortigern) and then expanded until they created the heptarchy that we see at the end of the 9th century in York and Ragnar…

Yes, it might be another AoE 2 bundle with more DLCs included (at least up to this year’s releases)…

Nah, once more, the dlc would be listed in the AoE2DE dlc list as “unkown”. It’s definitly another app.
