Making campaigns is definitely the most time consuming aspect of a DLC and imo they’re trying to find ways to cut corners. Not saying that civcrafting is a lesser brother but it takes waaaaay less time to do that as shown by the fact they’re shooting civs out at machine gun speed.

Im guessing its Chronicles Dlc, the thing is I dont know which story they are going for, after alexander maybe the Diadochi but its macedonians afterall, so im guessing the Roman Republic, I would love for it to be the Second Punic War Scipio vs Hannibal Campaign, when the romans won that was the last real enemies they had before they became an empire in 27BCE.

But when it says unknown app its always a DLC? couldnt it be another thing?
There was a way of telling if it is a chronicles dlc because it has some special translation entries. Sadly I don’t know how to see that. Can someone see if these translation entries are there or say how to check it?
Hope it’s the next DLC! Chronicles, or a Balkans one, or a medieval campaigns one…
The end of Alexander DLC states the next Chronicles will focus on the Roman territorial empire (Republic, the Empire, both?).

Yeah if its both the roman republic and the roman empire they can each have their own campaign but I dont know how many civs they could release if its the roman dlc, also it could be very Big so I dont know how much time they would need to release it. If its the roman republic, maybe Roman Republic, Carthage, Seleucids, and if they release the roman empire campaign too maybe the roman empire, Gallics and Germanics?
I dont know if they will separate them or just release a mega big dlc

Some thoughts and speculation on the DLC order in steamDB
If we assume, the DLC is listed in steamDB as soon as it’s ready for testing there are some things to think about.
The assets would be mostly done (campaign takes the longest). This would also explain why 2 times content of a DLC leaked before.
The animals of TLC were listed in a patch and were found by zetnus.
The flag of the Viking architecture was shown in the patch notes of TLC.
The order of implementation in steamDB is not the release order. This is seen on TLC and Chronicles Alexander. It’s 2 different teams working on it, so nothing to wonder about this. Also it’s assumed that 4374720 is the next chronicles.
What wonders me, is that 4073510 is for over 1 year on steamDB but has no leaks not release yet.
If it is a maçın game DLC, this could mean there is no new architecture set for it. If it’s the rumored saracen split, I guess this means no yemen architecture.
I don’t think it’s the canceled China DLC , because it was added much later to steamDB than 3K.
Maybe it’s a completed DLC but they are waiting for a common theme with other games like this year with North Europe.
If it’s another chronicles, it could explain why there is no leaks, since all assets are liked to chronicles anyway. Also these campaigns take much longer, I guess. Maybe the release was also delayed to have a common theme of DLCs this year with Aoe3 and 4.
If it’s a complete new line of DLCs like chronicles in the bronze or Napoleon age, it would also take longer.
If it’s a campaign or eye candy DLC, why not release it?

The next DLC probably is the Roman empire Chronicles DLC.
The other two, who knows honestly. I predict an African and a Meso-American DLC.
Regardless, this shows that the devs have a plan for the game for at least another 1.5 years. It would not be a stretch to assume that our beloved game is doing well and thriving!

Rofl, a new one again ? XD so 4 more dlc including viking sagas and one chronicles. Two more vanilla dlc to come next year.

How can you see this? And is this confirming the newest one is not chronicles?
Because of the linked “depots”, only chornicles types dlc have multi-languages sub-depots linked to their main dlc. My guess on that reason is the animated cutscened downloaded languages by languages in a sub-depots instead of beeing in the game client like the vanilla dlcs.
The one ending with 720 has the same sub-depots structure as BfG and AtG, so it’s the third Chronicle.

As yo ucan see, the two first chronicles dlcs got one DLC ID and some depots linked to the same DLC ID for localization variants. The one ending with 720 got the same steamdb structure. So yes I may be wrong, but there is like 99.99% chances I’m right saying it’s the chronicle one. The only thing that changes from regular dlc and chronciles dlc are those animated cutscenes, with some sub-titles and voicing for each languages in a more complexe design than the oldschool text renderer + fixed jpeg + voice over of the vanilla style dlcs if you see what I mean.
The reason why I’m saying it’s the Chronicle pattern is because since I’m watching the steamdb for the updates, chronicles are the only one using this very specific steamdb storage pattern. They took the campaign menu style of chronicles since 3K but that did not impact the structure of dlcs & depots for 3K and LC vanilla dlcs.
About your second question, that’s not meaning the very last one is not a chronicle one YET, but I hardly doubt it’s the 4th chronicle. Why that ? Because the 3rd one is not there yet so why already working on the 4th one ? They seems to start working on dlc not related to the release scheduling.
