If you build an outpost in age 2 and garrison units and ungarrison them you will be able to get the Yam buff, even if you haven’t built the Deer Stones.

I just had a game where I was able to get 2 Khans. My landmark TC was razed for a short moment, a new Khan spawned at another TC, after I repaired the main TC a new Khan spawned.
