UI Flickering in game (AOM RETOLD)

  • Game Version:.100.17.18697.0

  • Build Number:477449R

  • Platform: Steam

  • Operating System: Windows 11

The UI will randomly disappear and reappear in the space of a second. I was experiencing this during a stream, as well as during normal gameplay, but strangely does not show up on video nor do I see others talking about it, telling me this is something local. I am running a Nvidia 4080, with the latest drivers, 1080p resolution, highest settings beyond that. Background programs include Steam, Discord and OBS, but I have tried with these closed and it still happens. Is there something obvious I have missed? Definitely seems to be a me issue (hence this being in Ask for Help instead of Bug Report)

It’s not just a you issue. I’m on Windows 10, Nvidia RTX 3060 TI and it’s happening to me as well. Very brief, not even enough time for the screen to go black but just flicker. Maybe we should move this to the bug report section?

If it’s not just me, then definitely. I’ve changed the catagory, let’s hope there is a solution. Thanks for confirming I’m not just going mad

I am also having this issue. RTX4060 and amd7840hs cpu. Also mouse is kinda bugged in a way the icon is not responsive to the interactive units like temple and relics. It doesn’t change when I hover over them or just buggy and changes when I hover 2nd or 3rd time. Occurs both in Single and Multiplayer.

I also experience this. Ryzen 3400G

I’m also getting flickering UI, seemingly at random. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.

Same issue here, 4070 Super, latest drivers, been seeing this since day one of the release. UI disappears/flickers very briefly, randomly, I’d say every 20-30 minutes or so (I’ve been playing the campaign) and is quite distracting!

Same here, just created a new topic but I just found this one.

EDIT: If you disable autosave and game recording in settings, the flickering is gone.

Same issue. Had this at release. Thought it was fixed but now it’s back with the latest update.

bump, can confirm its still happening

Hi @Caldaris, this is a known issue and is tracked already
