Unable to chat in multiplayer games after specific circumstances

there seems to a an issue with chat after waking my laptop up from sleep, and reconnecting to multiplayer, at first you get the normal error, then are able to reconnect, but when in an actual game, chat doesn’t register

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. laptop sleep with game open main screen
  2. wake laptop, login to windows, game should be open and “running” asking to connect to multiplayer
    3.click connect, get error

  3. hit retry
  4. go to multiplayer and get into a game, then try to chat

chat appearing like normal
