Unable to Connect to Multiplayer Servers While Using VPN

When using VPN software, even while connecting to servers within my country, I am unable to connect to the multiplayer servers. When I attempt to click on “Reconnect to Multiplayer Servers” or the multiplayer icon, I receive the message “Cannot connect to Steam. Please check your internet connection.”

The issue is not my internet, as when I disconnect from the VPN I can access the servers. But when I disconnect from the VPN, access the servers, and then reconnect to my VPN, I am again told I cannot access the servers.

Is this intentional? Does the game block VPN IPs from accessing the servers? Or is this a bug?

Here’s how to reproduce the issue:

  1. Connect to a VPN server.
  2. Attempt to access multiplayer.
  3. Watch it fail.
  4. That’s it.

Its definiately your issue, I some other people using VPNs.
Most famous person should be MBL, at the start of DE he couldnt play at all without a VPN.
