ISSUE EXPERIENCED
My game cannot sign into the XBox Network.
When I start the game, in the menu, the Xbox linking button is grayed out.
It was me, who caused this, but for a good reason, and I’m trying to revert it.
When the Xbox Crossplay patch came, Signing into the Xbox Network crashed my game instantly, so I’ve had to dig around everywhere, even in the Registry, etc. I’ve tried so many things, trying to turn off automatically trying to sign into the Xbox Network, that I don’t remember what modification did the trick. Now that the game has been patched, I’d like to get that functionality back because since then I’ve missed every event without the Xbox connection. Could you try to help me out fix this issue, without reinstalling the whole OS?
This problem not only affects Age of Empires II, but also Age of Empires IV, when I try to link accounts. I attach the error code’s picture later.

- 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Get angry at the game crashing, and not being able to play
- Try to make it impossible for the game to reach the Xbox Network
- Cry when you want to revert this.
EXPECTED RESULT
I hope to get signed in again, so the event mods would stay with my account!
