Unique Guilds for Gaia

One of the main ways Gaia players are supposed to spread Lush is by building the heavily discounted Economic Guilds.
But that building doesn’t look good for that purpose.
So my suggestion:
Replace it with a unique building for Gaia, the same way Thor has his unique Dwarven Armory.
The bonus could also be somewhat similar by simply allowing Gaia to research all economic technologies in the Archaic Age already.

The building could look like it’s build into a big tree so building a lot of them would kinda looks like a forest city.
That would be a fitting look for Gaia.

Give her incentive to build a lot of them - the more she has, the faster each upgrade is researched. Something like this, to reward her for building them all over the place, especially as it’s the only building she has to spread her lush around effectively.

The fact her temples don’t is just bizarre to me.

Why the devs restrict lush to economy buildings, it is beyond my understanding…

Not sure if that’s a good idea.
I think the advantage of having a lot of them should be a lot of Lush and Lush itself should be worth it.
It’s currently not really.

But maybe it would be a good idea.
Like 5% discount per building and up to 50% overall.

I think it makes some sense that Gaia supports the growth of Atlantis but not the warfare.
She is basically the good girl of AoM.

But the particular logic behind the buildings being chosen is kinda strange.

My suggestion:
Only Town Centre (not Village Centre but Citadel Centre) Temple and the Unique Economic Guild.

TC and Temple have a statue of her so that explains that.
Also TC is the first building so you want that to spread Lush.

But then make Lush better.
The Unique Economic Guild would not be discounted but simply allow all techs to be researched in Archaic Age.

Then Lush would be buffed to be her main bonus. Her gameplay should evolve around spreading Lush.
1 HP/second regeneration plus 15% Speed is certainly not worth it.
Even a weak building like the Manor takes more then 13 Minutes to fully heal. Most games don’t even last that long!

Lush should give 1 HP/second per Age. So 4 HP/Second in Mythical Age.
Still 3.3 minutes to fully heal a Manor.
Still 10 Minutes for a Palace (without upgrades).

If they do that, the lush radius from TC should be 3 times large.

Also, temple makes more sense than house, economic guild and market, but the radius need to be 3 times large as house lush, I think, otherwise people to need to spend lots of resource on temple spamming to just build a frontline base.

Do lushes still prevent enemies to build of them today? (Haven’t checked on that.)

My idea is to make Lush harder to spread but make it stronger in return.
At the moment it’s super easy to spread since Economic Guilds are very cheap and also you have to build all those Manors anyway.

Another idea I had is what if Lush made the construction of new buildings faster.

My idea for Lush:

  • Buildings regenerate 1HP/second per Age (up to 5 in Wonder Age)
  • Units regenerate 0.5 HP/second per Age (up to 2.5 in Wonder Age)
  • Buildings are constructed 20% faster per Age (up to 100% in Wonder Age)

100% faster means twice as fast not -100% construction time, that would be instant.

Lush is only spread by TC, Temples and Economic Guilds.

Gaia Economic guilds have following differences:

  • They look similar to a Summoning tree from the campaign
  • They can research all Economic technologies in Archaic Age
  • They spread Lush
  • They are constructed 100% faster on Lush (on top of the normal construction speed bonus)
  • Every one you build discounts all Economic technologies by 5%
  • They cost the same as normal Economic Guilds (50 Wood 15 Gold)

So you are incentivise to spread Lush using those buildings.
