# Unit formation resets when upgraded

When a group of units is upgraded to veteran or elite they always go back to the default formation regardless of the formation they’re currently on but still displayed as the assigned formation in the UI.  
Currently it requires canceling the formation and issuing the formation command again to put them back to the desired formation.
