When thinking upon percentage increases to base values in this game, I’ve found it a bit difficult - particularly due to some U.I. bugs/mis-displayed information. When thinking about something like C.D.B.s’ gather rates being 25% increased, does this increase a basic villager’s gather rates by 25% and then all future 10 or 20 percent increases only affect the base values or is the 25% initial increase Altering the base value.
Essentially would Economic Theory be BETTER for the French Villes or Cree C.D.B.s, Settler Wagons and such… or is it basically the same bonus per villager that everyone else gets (just on fewer villes since they train more slowly + no Medicine card)?
I think in the H.D. & older versions of the game there were bonuses that would have differing values BASED UPON the relative enactment of cards & technologies… i.e. which order the tech or card came into effect - e.g. getting a base increase of 0.25 as a damage multiplier then a percentage multiplier of 10% left an eventual increase that was higher than the percentage increase followed by the base increase [(1.0 + 0.25) x 1.1 = 1.375] is better than [(1.0 x 1.1) + 0.25 = 1.35].
So essentially 2 Questions here - #1) Are some improved units only BASE UNITS with a percentage increase to base values… or are they fundamentally improving (usually increasing) the base values? And #2) Are most or all of the additive & multiplicative value increases applied better (more consistently) in the D.E. version of AoE III… or are there still examples of mis-matched multipliers?
