Does anyone know why Retold has a mechanic where units push other units out the way, while the original did not? Does it serve a function or is it just a bug that hasn’t been/ can’t be fixed yet?
Personally, I find it annoying and really wish they would fix it. It makes the game look buggy and from what I’ve seen can lead to some minor exploits.

Yeah it’s really annoying. I think they added it to help “fix” some pathfinding problems, but I wish they could find another solution.

Its the same mechanic that Starcraft 2 uses, it helps with pathfinding a lot, as if the path is blocked, units can simple push others and make way instead of getting crazy bugged units like we have in AoE2.
Units can be pushed around, but the way this is currently presented is terrible and would need major changes to make unit movement look as natural and coordinated as possible.
