GAME BUILD #: UPDATE 99311
GAME PLATFORM: Steam
OPERATING SYSTEM: Windows 10
ISSUE EXPERIENCED
DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
Did a private game with 4 players all as Player 2 with 200% handicap on team 1. Then 5 AI players at 100% on a separate team.
What results is some assortment of AI players also end up with 200%. Tried a few combinations but couldn’t find a pattern of which AI players also incorrectly get 200% handicap.

List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!
Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:
1.Start a private game
2. Assign 4 players all as Player 2 with 200% handicap on team 1.
3. Make 5 AI players at 100% on a separate team (each individual players).
EXPECTED RESULT
What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
Only Player 2 is supposed to have 200% handicap.

ALWAYS attach a PICTURE (.jpg, .png, .gif) or VIDEO (.mp4, YouTube link) that highlights the problem.
(Says new users cannot upload attachments but I have the screenshot and the game recording)
GAME FILES (SAVE / RECORDING)
Attach a SAVE GAME (.aoe2spgame) or GAME RECORDING (.aoe2record) of the match where you encountered the issue. Link it below if using an external file service.

Any idea if this is on the list of known bugs, somewhere? I haven’t found other instances, yet, but admittedly haven’t looked too closely.
But my friends and I just ran into it. First, two of us played as player 6, and tried to give a 135% bonus to player 3, on our team, but instead it went to player 8.
Then, two of us played as player 5, tried same bonus for player 3 which again went to player 8.
So then we tried a test game, where we swapped player 3 and player 8 (the humans playing those players), two of us as player 5 again, and gave 135% bonus to player 6. This time, the unintentional 135% bonus went to player 1, who was an AI.
All of these were 5 humans and 3 AIs, with four colors for humans, and 3 colors of AIs.
I was always the host, and always on the two-people-as-one-player color.
Thanks for reporting this issue! I am trying to reproduce it but I can´t totally understand your message when you say “4 players all as Player 2 with 200% handicap on team 1”. Each player has a number and a team, so what do you mean by “as player 2”, team 2?
If you could send us a video of the issue would help a lot! You can send those files via: gofile.io
I’m not 100 percent sure if it’s the same problem, but we ran into a similar issue with handicaps:
It should be reproducible as follows, but you need a second person (or game instance) to test this:
The host creates a handicap game and set himself to 110 percent handicap and the color blue.
A second player joins and toggles through the colors, including blue. The 110 percent handicap will “stick” to the second player as soon as they have the color blue for a moment. By “sticking,” I mean that when they choose a free color like red, they will still have that 110 percent handicap. Normally, only the host can set a player’s handicap, but with this trick, a non-host player can copy someone else’s handicap. We had some fun with this 11.
Edit: I believe “readying up” was part of the process. I’m quite sure you could only copy the handicap settings from a player not being ready, and maybe had to press your own ready up for a second.
Here is a short video demonstrating this behaviour: Gofile - Your all-in-one storage solution
Notice that when player “tinion” chose color yellow he got 110% handicap.
