EDIT : Nevermind, fuck Microsoft Store, I’m going with Steam and re-buying the game. This way I’ll be done forever with Microsoft Store.
You guys don’t have to uninstall the current version of AOE DE. But you can if lack of free space. You only need to make sure you are running on Windows 1903 release first and then install all available updates (also in MS Store). After that you can install the new cross play version of AOE DE. Finally it will look like this and both will continue to work except that the old version gets no new updates and is only able to play with users running that version.
In addition to @GMEvangelos suggestion of refreshing the Windows Store cache, can you also check that you do not have any pending Windows Updates?
You may need to check that the Microsoft Gaming extension for Windows Store is also up to date. You can use the following link in an Edge browser to manually update that extension: ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Go to library. I can see from your image that store recognize that you own the game(jeu deja achete). From libary you can download all games you own as @PCS70 picture shows
You should really link to this post on the game instead of telling people to go to store, there is alot of ppl that don’t understand they actually have to download a new client.
Does not work on two PC with W10 pro 1803 fully patched. It may be related to admin elevation required as on these PC user / player accounts are not admin.

1803 or 1903? I had to upgrade to 1903 in order to be able to run the AOE DE open beta (cross play with Steam). As 1803 isn’t supported for long anymore I guess 1809 is minimal release requirement. But I’m happy with Windows 1903 build. So upgrade those systems to 1903 using media creation tool and the new AOE DE should work after that. I can also play the old client.
Old AOE DE works without any problem.
Last error code on store: 0x8000FFFF.
Games services installed after multiple tries and reboots.
Nothing in application event log but informational events: mostly security-SPP.
Tried ever thing to get this game to work, the install works, but every time I go to load the game the cursor gets a spinning wheel then it stops after a few minuets, I have uninstalled, reinstalled, changed drives, given permissions, run the Services fix, run the Powershell fix and scanfix from cmd prompt, I consider myself pretty well versed in how not to get this game to work, any advice at this point…
