Vertical gates' bases need to be fixed

Vertical gates (aligned north-south, if the top of the map is north) are much harder to place than diagonal or horizontal gates. Their base for placement purposes is not made up of the four tiles we actually see them using, which are only connected at corners, but instead include a square of 4 tiles at the middle.

This causes collisions with trees, enemy units, existing gates (preventing double-walling without extra space), etc. It also has side effects like the visibility issue seen in the screenshot below.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Build a gate aligned north-south
  2. Try to build another gate 1 tile to the east or west of said gate

They should follow the same rules as diagonal and horizontal gates and not be 4x harder to place.
