So I’ve been playing age of empires 2 ever since I was a kid it and when it came to console I was pretty excited because I enjoy using a controller over using my keyboard.
What the issue is when I start using my auto economy, and I’ve noticed this for ever since they implemented the auto eco for console, if I only wanted like a small portion of my villagers to go to gold when going to feudal is it’ll somehow take 12 vills to go there which makes no sense to me which is telling me that how they coded it makes it believe that it just will not just have a simple promp “if no vills are on gold then press villagers to go to gold” but then you make it click for which the math isn’t correct and it’ll ad more then it’s suppose to be.
So imo the promo should be if no vils are on gold but only is asked 2 out of the 13 bars total then only x amount of vills will swap over to that”
Also with vills already doing a task it should not swap that village to go to food and the food villager to wood that wastes time. The prompt should be
“If a villager is already doing a task already asked of it it should then not have to swap unless a task is unfulfilled”
I’m not a coder but to me the coding for this feels like they either did too much or too simplistic to where it overcompensates for what is needed
