Villagers going rogue

Issue:

Villagers will decide to go rogue and stop gathering resources, or gather from inefficient locations.

The most common instance is villagers walking to the side of a goldmine opposite the nearest drop site, or wood gatherers choosing extremely inefficient trees to chop.

Here is a hilariously egregious example of a wood gatherer crossing the map to a random tree:


After this sequence the gatherer got disrupted by the migdol fire before idling in the nearby tree line (also worth noting the villager could not be selected with the idle villager hotkey.)

These instances of rogue villagers can be observed in most games.

This issue has still not been addressed, even on new patch (18.65484). Still experiencing lone villagers running to the bottom corner of the map to gather resources without command. It’s happening frequently too, every 4 or 5 games.

i’ve had this happening to me for the longest time, i think that is more often a norse thing than not, but can’t put my finger on what the reason might be.
