Visual upgrade for heavy siege crossbow missing

Issue:

The upgraded visuals for the heavy siege crossbow for the chinese doesn’t show anymore but it used to do before so it’s definitely a bug.

Trigger Event:

Nothing unusual of note

Repro Steps:

  1. Create the siege crossbow
  2. upgrade the siege units
  3. the heavy siege crossbow doesn’t update its visuals

You are right, there is an issue in the animfile of the siege_crossbow.

In this file game\art\chinese\units\siege\siege_crossbow\siege_crossbow.xml the “ModelComp” component part changes the model based on the armory and archer upgrades tech instead of engineers like it should do.

Note that it makes the siege crossbow change appearance when researching medium archer :slight_smile:
