Vortigern scenario

I started the new Vortigern scenario of the VaV DLC and from the beginning, I noticed something weird, the Romano-British are Byzantine instead of I don’t know… Romans!

This is my first scenario, but I am pretty sure there are going to be a couple more of these unfinished and annonying details.

That sounds pretty bad! They promised that they have reworked these workshop scenarios. I have played three of them and unfortunately are the same I played on the workshop a couple of years ago. I am really thinking to leave negative review on a DLC for the first time. They aren’t even polished as they promised for 13 euros!!! I made a mistake to buy it unfortunately but I wanted to support…

This must be because the original free scenario was made before the Romans were added to the game, and they didn’t even bother changing the civ to make the scenario more accurate. So much for those improvements they promised 11

Now I wanna see if the Vandals scenario is still the same, and also doesn’t use the Roman civ. At least with Vortigen they have the “excuse” (if we can call it that) that changing the playable civ would mean they’d have to make some adjustments here and there. But in the Vandals scenario there is no such problem, because it’s an AI player

I bet that they didn’t even touched these scenarios except adding a weird and rushed voice acting. What a shame!

Don’t tell me the “professional voice acting” they promised is also bad. I haven’t heard it, but so many people defended the DLC simply because it had voice acting, so I believed it would be it’s only good quality…

The voice acting is way way worse than the previous DLCs. They didn’t even changed the dialogues to support the voice acting and it sounds so funny and weird. Completely unnatural!

You mean the text is different from the dialogue? lol

Even worse, they voiced in-game advices/hints LOOOOL.These should be completely removed and replaced with realistic dialogues. And leave the hints only in the objectives screen!

Hopefully they’re voiced by an omniscient narrator and not actual characters…

That is wild. When ROR came out, Western Roman Empire was changed to be the romans in every scenario they were represented. I see no good reason to keep them as byzantines.

It’s a very big thing to overlook when you’re, you know… fixing bugs, doing polishing and stuff.

In the Vandals scenario they are Romans.

I’m glad they did the bare minimum. Not that I care, because I won’t be buying it, but still…

“Devs need money to support the game. If we don’t buy this DLC the game’s support will end in a week. They already told you what is in the dlc. If you don’t read it it’s your fault. If you don’t like it don’t buy it nobody is forcing you."

Anyone else?

For someone that

You actually care too much about the V&V DLC
I wonder, how much would you pay for it?

“I don’t care” that the scenario changed a random civ, not that I don’t care about the DLC as a whole. Not a “gotcha”…

As for how much I would pay, well… $0, because the scenarios are already free. Why should I spend a single cent when it’s not necessary?
