nomad has an insanely small 1v1 playrate, doesn’t make sense to include it in every map pool.

Wish people had the imagination to play more than the same pool of maps: Gold Rush, Ghost Lake, Acropolis.
Vote for the fun/wacky maps for a change like Budapest, Salt Marsh, Continental

Is it really though? Sure you don’t start with a TC, but there’s basically only one place to sensibly place it. It’s one of the most pointless maps in my opinion.

They should take a hint that people prefer to play open land maps at some point. Perhaps split queue into Arabia // Clown // Wacky at some point.

If not the vast majority will vote for open, ban the 3 closed/water that remain and no one gets to play the clown/wacky.

Exactly. Its Arabia and then Arabia but with one mechanic that favours 2-3 civs (e.g.: more gold, less stone, more hunt, whatever). So its worse than Arabia … Simply allow people to play Arabia and then you can have whatever else people enjoy on other maps… Instead, with this stubbordness, we get Arabia and +2-3 Arabia variations.
