We cannot judge from this statistic how many people play water maps and we cannot consider what players would like to play. For example I always have a water map selected and 70% of the started matches start the water map I chose and 30% choose another map because there is a lack of players and it is not possible to choose only the map I chose, but the possibility to ban only max. 3 according to the dependence of players in the lobby. Also, only ranked matches are in the statistics [aoestats - Maps](https://aoestats.io/maps/RM_1v1) . e.g. I don’t play ranked matches at all, but my team and I often play water maps.

But I’m definitely glad that the possibility to choose vote future maps directly in the game is coming, I think it would help a lot. Well, I won’t be playing much AEO2 this week.
