We Need to Improve Communication Between the Devs and the Community - Part II

Hello there,

In June 2023, I wrote a quite popular post regarding the lack of and poor communication between the developers and the community. I even received a response from one of the devs, and a few months later, we saw the Sultan’s DLC release, accompanied by more frequent communication.

Now, it’s March 2025, and communication has once again become severely lacking.

I’m not “malding” here; this is simply feedback.

Many of us genuinely love this game. The sound and design are exceptional, the art style is beautiful, the gameplay feels great, and we’ve seen numerous improvements over time, such as the siege rework. I’m incredibly excited for the upcoming Knight Templar and House of Lancaster DLCs, which look fantastic, and I’m sure the second 2025 DLC will hold some significant surprises. Thank you, developers.

However, I don’t believe this radio silence strategy is healthy or beneficial for the community. We understand you’re working on brilliant content, and we’re grateful for it.

But sometimes, we’d simply like to know: Who are you? Are you doing well? Is Relic still involved? Who is leading the project?

I understand that sometimes we make promises we can’t deliver on time. I’ve experienced this myself, and I’m sure other gamers on this subreddit have as well. Therefore, I agree that sometimes it’s better to say less and avoid over-promising.

I’m not asking for a roadmap or the release date of the second (or even the first) 2025 DLC.

What I am asking is: Please, occasionally, come to Reddit and say hello, or perhaps give us a short interview.

A brief tweet here and there would also be appreciated.

A small video update every few months would be welcome.

Even a brief tour of the headquarters would be quite cool.

We’re just days away from spring, and all we know about the DLCs are a few details and about five images.

Please, let us know you are there.

In my opinion, radio silence communication is generally not a good approach.

However, we don’t need excessively frequent communication; we need a balance, a bit more than what we’re currently receiving.

Thank you.

Deus Vult!!!
