Website for Creating Civs!

but the point is the OP is clearly trying to push an infantry civ. they literally get 2HS in castle age.

I wish scorpions were easier to mass since I consider them the best siege unit in the game once massed.

This website is awesome. The only thing is missing it’s a form to send messages to the author.

I have an idea about a new civ: Papal States.
I’m not good at civ design, so i don’t know how to balance the tech tree and to build an identity for the civ.
We can even use the Heavy pikemen, with some adjustment, as UU and maybe even Missionaries.
We can make the stable really bad (like Britons or Vikings), excellent monastery, FU Barracks and Arbs (with bonus like additional armor), ESkirms and HCs. For the Siege Workshop i have no idea, just to give them the bombard cannon and the basic units.
I know that @DoctBaghi could have some good ideas for this civ.

Tbh two villagers in feudal is pretty strong so they may end up having a decent economy

Meh, Paladins already have good pierce armor

Yeah I have already seen this website. Really cool stuff

You understimate how good the extra pierce armour is.

Paladins take only one damage from archers with that bonus and hussars take the same shots as Burgundians or Byzantines paladins to kill.

The Paladins are already only taking 3 damage, that is 71 hits to kill a single paladin. There’s no reason for extra pierce when you can grab an eco bonus

You understimate how good is taking 212 shots or taking 60 shots at castle age. I would rather have it over the Lithuanian bonus

+150 food helps me get knights out even faster, I’d rather have quantity rather than quality with knights, who are already strong. You guys are just seeing the 212 shots=archer invincible palas and are getting sold on that

they already have the best eco bonus in the game (Free wheelbarrow and handcart). and if i was really going to grab a second eco bonus, it wouldn’t be the Lithuanians extra food. it would be Burgundians. so my civ would literally have that free wheelbarrow right from the start of the game.

Switch it out for that then. I just don’t see the reason for more pierce when you already have beefy, cheap, fastbuilt Palas

Here’s my civ suggestion:

The americans:
-start with only 1 villager and no gold
-can use cheat codes
Unique unit: barrack obama
Unique technology: trump wall: makes walls 50% more expensive

Yeah, actually I can’t see the papal state as a civ in aoe2 historically speaking.

The power of that state was religious and political, not military.

The swiss pikeman were just a corp of bodyguards, not an army. They had to guard some buildings and escort the pope and some other important figures, but aside for that and for some town militia, the pope never had an army. They either rely on foreign powers or hire mercenaries.

As for economy, unless you like quadruple the gold given by relics and give them trickle of gold from nothing there isn’t much. The territory of the papal state wasn’t particularly thriving, their main income were the indulgences and similar form of gains.

So that’s why I really struggle to see them in the game.

Not sure if it is possible but would be cool to add the scenario editor units and be able to change their names

Thank you for the post and the love for the site! I am lining up to add more unique techs and team bonuses soon, as well as rework some scenario units into unique units later down the line. I periodically scour the forums and reddit for bonus ideas, but if you have anything specific you would like seen on the site, posting it here would be as good a place as any.
I also have an “official” branch for randomized civilizations, which I update daily with a new iteration like Random Costs mod.

And make it so that walls can be stolen by Aztec villagers.
