A small group of archers its countereable, like spears or horse
A medium group of archers buffed by towers+blacksmith its something to be afraid
A large group with all the upgrades and buffs, can clear any army, like yesterday 130 pop with sipahis, jannisary and great bombards+mangonels. Yea kinda won the fight, but actually no, he lost 6k resources or something i lost twice. Ah im not even mentioning how much upgrades and craft time i need behind of that to make that army, he is just archering pium pium, one unit, one type of upgrade, one everything. Every archer spawns twice faster than any unit
No pathfinding issues, no colision issues, kills sieges, kills most of structures all that for 50 resources per unit and fastest craft time
Type of issue with age of empires 4, massing one unit. Can also apply for giga buffed knights but i take that because they cost a lot
Ah last one landmark working as stable or archery together with armored units in feudal while you not have real counter for that like samurai or MAA/knights need to go
And for late game could be really cool if tc could do real damage to these 10 knights raid, i dont know maybe paying gold or stone to hold 20-25 workers while having springals shots can be quite cool
I dont know im just saying, i understand all the mechanics, still need more practice and get better, but all these examples on top just kill the fun
Solution?
more craft time for archers, specially when upgrading it per age
-10% movement speed for cavalry + smaller hitbox for big fights
Cut to half armored units in feudal
Buffing units by structures terrible idea, force players to make something like mether and playing around the buffer
