What about a 'Classic mode' for that old-school feel?

I’m not talking about GFX (like C&C Remastered) as that would obviously be a huge undertaking.

A ‘Classic mode’ in Retold could do the following:

  • restore the 100 Favor cap (200 for Zeus)
  • restore the 300 pop cap
  • restore the God power use limit
  • restore myth unit one-hit kill abilities
  • remove the Wonder Age; OR keep it and allow it to unlock multiple-use God powers

Would anyone be interested in something like this? Obviously it would be off by default, but could be an interesting rule set change to play with every now and then.

I think that is easier to update AoM Extended Edition servers and giving it a better multiplayer.

Well, in practical terms AOM-R is a giant update of the old game, so the original will practically be abandoned.
