What "Clear" role you want to give "Militia Line"?

I Hope the Dev haven’t forgotten about this toppic with the up coming update. The current balance for Militia is so bad and we haven’t gotten a big balance update since last year. The new civs seem to focus even more on siege, cavalry and gun powder…All of them beat Militia line, which will further push Militia to the shadow realm.

They said they want to address the pathing issues which would indirectly buff all melee units.
After that we can see how much more love Infantry needs in the game.

Though it’s not unlikely that the new DLC will come with a patch that improves the Militia Line in some way.

I think i would not change the “role” of Militia line, BUT i would not do nothing…
I would rather see its raw stats buffed, like a 5 HP for all the line or something like that, making it less useless early, remember that militia counters eagle and all trash units and can be really good for civs with bonuses so it is not a useless unit, but it probably need a buff tho, more attack to amplify its impact as a polyvalent unit or more HP to make militia a tanky cheap unit.

+5 HP won’t change anything but it is on the good direction.

I’d also love for the Conscription tech to grant the Militia line -25% population space to make them viable in late games after addressing their early-game issues.

An interesting idea frmm reddit.

Obviously building towers will be too powerful to balance. So outpost can be considered.
