What US shipment is this? (+200 mil pop)

Graph shows military population. USA also had full vill pop.

Idk what shipment gave ~ +200 pop; its not new york zuave.

Sadly i dont remember what units he had and i dont have a replay.

Wittelsbach and habsburgs were available, so maybe some insane luck from the habsburg mercs?

It’s probably the Florida Cowhunters card. It gives 2 cowboys for every shipment received, so it can easily result in a 200-300 unit pop shipment.

There’s also an Indiana card (or at least age 3 federal card) that gives 1 or 2 Carbine Cavalry per shipment and improves unit training time by 10% (which is needed because Patriotism is a bit weak). Could have been that.

I’d have no problem with adding a unit cap here too. My point is the US card “Patriotism” is worse than Liberation March and other similar cards thus the improvement to unit training speed is important to the civ.

Having said that, Chinacos are insanely strong when fully carded, so this card is worse than that one was.

Ah yes, thank you!

I looked at the deck afterwards and saw he aged up with florida. I quickly scanned over the cards, but missed the “sends 2 cowboys” and only saw the “sends 2 Semi-fattened cows”

Liberation March
• All infantry and cavalry train 35% faster
• all infantry and cavalry move 5% faster

Patriotism
• State Militia train 45% faster
• Sharpshooters and Regulars train 35% faster
• Carbine Cav and Hussars train 25% faster

Firstly, speed is a big deal. Secondly specific units training faster is significantly worse than “all” in certain categories (since it doesn’t effect natives, mercs, or outlaws). Even without the speed I think I would choose Liberation March in roughly 99% of cases as the US if I could. It’s a way better card.

Edit: Btw, something between both cards that doesn’t effect outlaws would be better balanced for both civs.

I like this.

You’re proving my point. All you need is 3 shipments (Patriotism, Indiana Mobilization and Seminole Ponies (V)) to reach what most civs can do in 2 cards in age 3 (equivalent being Riding School and Cav Combat (less the speed which isn’t worth waiting until V for)).

Btw, I’m not even sure why we’re arguing. Basically all I said was the 10% faster unit training from Indiana was fair because Patriotism is worse.
