What will be the next civs?

My guess is that it will be PLC (Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth) and Safavid Empire (Persia).

What’s your guess?

I hope so, those two would be my most anticipated, but I think the civs will be themed around a region.

Ok, which countries have the achievement of capturing ships with cavalry units?

PS: I know one, but I refuse to get excited, I still think this Tweet is just propaganda for AOEII players

In 1795 (24 October), the third partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth took place - the last one, which ended the existence of this state.

BTW. Interestingly, this took place exactly 9 months and 1 day after the French cavalry captured the Dutch ships.

I was about to write it too
Maybe it is a hint for PLC + Denmark DLC? Danes known for their fleet, Poland known for their Hussars and 1795 is one the most important year in Polish history.
Or maybe it is all just a coincidence and it is not AOE3 related at all, I don’t know.

That would make a lot of sense. This is not obvious because this event concerns the French cavalry and the Dutch navy, but the cavalry (mostly mentioned Hussars) is the domain of Poland and the navy is the domain of Denmark - if this is a hint, it is a very cool and ambitious one.

1795 is also a strong potential clue.
