When I saw the latest official announcement, I was almost moved to tears

Here is my personal opinion on how to thoroughly improve the game!
This insight can only be understood, but it is very difficult to describe using voice.
But I will try my best to describe it.
I see that you attach great importance to balance, but cannot do it well.
In situations where you are unable to improve balance, you can enhance the richness of gameplay in the game. When the game is rich enough, the importance of balance decreases. What I mean by richness is not more game modes, I mean that gamers have a richer experience in the process of confrontation. More flexible and diverse gameplay!
For example, we can ambush the enemy.
For example, we can sneak attack landmarks and quickly achieve victory.
For example, we have a terrain advantage and use a small number of troops to contain the enemy’s attack
(Of course, I strongly refuse cheating, as cheating makes the game monotonous and boring.)
In 4V4, even if the landmark is destroyed, it will not result in your death. But to impose punishment, my suggestion is to lower the population ceiling. Not only because the attacking team has always had difficulty destroying landmarks (which comes at a high cost), but also because the progress of one person is too slow without the help of foolish teammates.
I hope you don’t forget the original design intention of the game.

Are you from China? I was wondering why mostly the Chinese players hate this patch. Or why they hate it more than any other region. The vast majority of negative reviews on Steam are from there.

China civ got hit hard with the siege change and infantry nerfs!!!

The cultural divide is influenced mainly by the seperation between cultures on the internet. Mainland China internet does not have access to reddit or youtube, so opinions expressed among that population only break through in limited spaces, such as steam reviews.

There’s a social component to the feedback. Many people’s opinion conforms to popular discussion, the discussion among western people tends to berate unpopular opinion. You can see this in any reddit discussion on the patch, as well as the scrutiny shown here on the official forums.

If you want to understand the chinese playerbase’s opinions you would need to look through social media spaces like bilibili. It’s also important to note that mainland china is over 1/3 of the playerbase, they represent a significant portion of players and as a result feedback from that group will be seen in great numbers when it’s present. There’s also the fact that many people speak mandarin outside of China, it’s like expecting all english speakers to be from America or Great Britain.

There are also many positive reviews from mandarin speaking players.

Even though I’ve blocked you a while ago, I gotta admit I still find your wild claims quite entertaining. If anything, it’s the opposite - Eastern cultures are famous for collectivism and pressure to conform.

Isn’t VPN use in China incredibly popular?

beasty is very popular.

No way. It was Beasty all along?? Wait what are those? Are they reactions to his videos by Chinese content creators?

I still find it peculiar that most comments come from China, because Beasty is popular outside China too.

I imagine there are three ways to change.
1: The siege weapons cannot be destroyed, but require soldiers to operate.
2: Siege equipment requires a longer range.
3: Siege weapons require more armor just to prevent them from being destroyed by archers.

Because the Beasty’s words are very in line with the player’s understanding. He represents the player’s perspective.

Yes, Chinese players are more united.

Yeah, well here’s a very recent podcast with 4 of the top 8 tournament players.

You could show it to the other Chinese players, you know, to hear more than 1 opinion about the patch. >:D

There’s some interesting thoughts from MarineLord on why Beastyqt hates the patch, as well.
