Which Civ(s) would you like to see next?

Just simply a question for which there will be various opinions. Cheers.

I have a ton of candidates, but I think if I had to pick the first ones in my order of priority it would be the Thais, the Jurchens, some South Asian civs, some African civs or the Georgians and Armenians. I would like to see a few more Europeans, but I feel like we need to spend sometimes around the rest of the world before we come back to this old continent. As for the Americas, we probably need a bit more of them but there’s no one I specifically wish for.

Looking at both holes in the map and important civs I would say Tamils, Swahili/Zimbabwe, Jurchens, a Caucasus civ, and some representative for Afghans

I would like to see either of these pairs:

Armenians & Georgians
Serbs & Croats
Romanians/Vlachs & Rus to rename Slavs

If the DLC will be outside Europe, then either sub Saharan Africa or Indian subcontinent.

I think a Thai/Lao DLC pairing would fit RotR civs too.

I think even if some people might be disappointed with what will come in this next DLC, it surely won’t be the last one.

With new architecture or … 6+5 ?

At least with unique castles.

That will make it even more biased, no?

What do you mean by biased?

Only one architecture set having a ton of extra buildings, like Krepost, 3 Folwarks models, 3 unique castles and so on and you want to add more to it while others stare desperately.

But those 5 civs are probably too small to have their own architecture set.

These civs I’d love to see any of:

South America: Chimu, Wari, Mapuche, Muisca
Mesoamerica: Tarascans (Purepechas), Zapotecs, Tlaxcaltecs
North America: Mississippians, Haudenosaunee, Puebloans (low priority imo)

West Africa: Kanembu, Benin (Edo), Yoruba, Songhai, Ghanaians, Hausa
East Africa: Nubians, Somalis
Southern Africa: Kongolese, Zimbabweans (Shona), Swahili

South Asia: Tamils, Bengalis, Kannads, Odias, Sinhalese
East Asia: Jurchen, Tibetans, Khitans, Tanguts (Western Xia), Bais (Nanzhao+Dali)
South-East Asia: Tais, Chams, Javanese

Caucasus: Georgians, Khazars, Armenians, Alans/Vandals
Europe: Vlachs, Swiss, Serbs, Croats

That’s 42 candidates for new civs, for a total of 81! So there’s clearly lots of possibilities for new DLCs/expansions, it’s all about being creative with civ design, in a good way.

I’d also like to see Indians and Slavs renamed to somethings more appropriate. Celts could also be renamed Gaels because the current name is a bit illogical as the Britons are also a Celtic people. If we had Gaels + Britons I think it would nicely represent the Scots/Irish and Welsh/English respectively.

for me more civs and campaings = better

America: Mapuche, Mississippians, Iroquis, Zapotecs

Africa: Shona, Kongolese, Nubians, Kanembu

Asia: Tamils, Bengalis, Tibetans, Javanese, Uyghurs

Europe: Swiss, Croats, Romanians, Dutch, Armenians, Georgians

Slavs need to be renamed to Rus
Central Europeans architecture to Bohemians

If more Indian factions gets added it should come with a new skin for the king and new set of sails for ships.

And the Ingame Interface Panel specific to each architecture set that’s missing.

One faction that I would love to see, and it’s hardly mentioned, are the Tunisians, just because the campaign potential with Abu 'Amr 'Uthman is too great.

Breaking the Berber umbrella sounds like a can of worm, especially if we base them on modern states.
