I wish the Abbasids were in the beta. I’d really like to try them first and see how intuitive the camel mechanics are on the first play. But since they’re not, I think I’d go Delhi Sultanate first for similar reasons - I’m curious if their free tech/scholar mechanisms will throw off my pace if I learn them first before, say, England.

I think i will start with the english to get familiar with AoE4… Than maybe try the mongols, kinda like the nomad style, it feels a bit familiar to playing the Brits in Company of Heroes 1

I will start with Mongols because they are the most different one.

I would pick Rus if they were available, but Delhi Sultanate or Mongols will do.

English to figure out the core differences of Age 4 from the others, then Mongols to start practicing picking off villagers >:)

AOE series games have a common feature, that is, Chinese civilization is very strong to play… So, first try Chinese civilization…

I am not trying to participate in beta but if I did I’ll play whatever civ that is there in mission zero .

I need to build all the landmarks so I gotta play Chinese.

each map allows the user to select a variety of sizes and appearances (called “biomes” in-game).

Small but important detail. I like it.

I really want to try the Mongols. Already love them in Aoe 2 and wanna see how the nomad/horde-style gameplay is implemented here.

i’ll play the tutorial first, it never hurts plus AOE tutorials and arts of war have always been fun. Then i may play english or mongols first i don’t really know but i’m sure i’ll play all of them if i’m part of the beta of course :smiley:

First will be English because I love playing defensively, but then would like to try Mongols as they look really unique.

No Franks to select? That’s the most iconic civ from AoE II imo

Judging from what we’ve seen, English seem to be in style of the classic AoE 2 civ, so I’ll go with them first and then play the other ones :slight_smile:
