well, cataphracts are created form castles and are much more expensive, so it is not efficient trade at all. but for a steppe lancers that would be created from a stable for a cheaper price, maybe having resistance to spear bonus would help transition from knight to them in castle

I’ve watched 20 fully upgraded elite cataphracts beat 60+ jap halbs. They might not win cost effectively against halb spam, but they win very supply effectively.

Slingers are more accurate and have more range than Hand Cannons. The balancing factor here is obviously HC’s high base damage, making them useful against more than just infantry.

Slingers still eat all, you need much fewer to turn them into Goth meatgrinders than clumsy Khmer scorps that fall over to BBCs.

Slingers even get bonus vs Rams (or all Siege weaponry?) I think!

Still not sure why Slingers need a rework btw!
