"Who Needs Infantry?" Achievement Bugged

Win a match without producing infantry as the French.

Settings:

  • Skirmish
  • Me French
  • Enemy English
  • Intermediate AI
  • An island-style map
  • Standard game settings

The units I built in the game consisted of:

  • Villagers
  • Fishing ships
  • Transport ships
  • The feudal military ship
  • The imperial military ship
  • Royal Knights
  • Religious units
  • Scouts

And nothing else. I never even built a barracks.

I won the game by Sacred Victory.

The “Who Needs Infantry?” achievement should have procced. It did not.

I wonder if the religious units counted as infantry?
I received the achievement on a land map, pretty sure I did not create any religious units.
