Why does the Caravanserai use the Market's construction graphic?

They look nothing alike at all. Were they just lazy or was there a mistake with not shipping the correct construction graphics? And why hasn’t anyone else talked about it?

Probably because it’s a trade building like markets so it makes sense for most people.

It doesn’t make sense. It shouldn’t make sense for anyone. They have different purposes, plus they look different. So if you go by the argument of simplicity, this actually hurts players, since you can’t know if it’s a Market or Caravanserai that’s being constructed until you click on it. And it hurts the aesthetics… a Market being built but then a Caravanserai just popping in where a Market should be looks dumb.

Uh it should be pretty obvious that if they are building it in the middle of a trade route and not in the corner of the map it’s a caravanserail. Like I get it’s not cool they didn’t bother but it’s not remotely an issue for gameplay.

Maybe someone might be very thorough with their trade routes and build one very close to their own markets 11

Not at all.
You need just one market in the corner, you can build other 10 markets in random spots, you set rally points and then the carts will default to the farthest route to your target market for trade.
I do it all the times, it also prevents clogging the corners.

Honestly, it’s not a big deal

Of course it isn’t, but every other building has its own construction graphics since DE. Before DE, no one complained about the simple construction graphics because keeping them simple was expected, but now that DE is here, it should be expected that every buildings has its own.
