Why doesn't this game permanently ban cheaters?

In case you people don’t know: the developers do not have the permission to ban cheaters, and those in charge of this in Microsoft don’t care about cheaters at all.

Cheating won’t get you permanently banned. Neither does bug exploiting. If any of you have ever reported Gole Horde bug users, go check it out, and you will notice that they are not permanently banned. By the way, even this temporary ban is useless because cheaters can go steam family sharing when one of their accounts is banned.

This is hilarious. Have Microsoft considered treating this game like AOE3? Maybe they can come up with a aoe5 and let cheaters ruin it again.

It’s really mind-boggling that you only get a slap on the wrist after using third-party tools to attack the server side (e.g., drop hacks or changing an opponent’s civilization). This is a criminal offense, and the devs are, if you’re lucky, only issuing temporary bans. It’s honestly a joke. Don’t they have any ambition to push AoE 4 competitively? If you hack, you should get perma banned.

In Beasty’s recent video (‘I Met The Hacker on Ladder Again 1 Year Later..‘), the cheater claims to have received 65 bans and a hardware ban. I don’t know how his ban was lifted.
