Why is aom retold losing players so fast?

Of course, not only are they great games (because they draw on the gameplay of WC 1 and WC 2), but they are also super educational (because they are influenced by Civilization 1 in the case of Bruce Shelley and Civ 2 in the case of Brian Reynolds)…

35% is actually quite high number, I would say, that it means, that multiplayer is quite big in AoM - and I am “casual single player”

for comparison

59% is for finishing 1th mission in Fall of the Trident campaign
32% is for finishing the Greek part of Fall of the Trident campaign

That’s actually a really good point, but considering the fact that getting this achievement is very easy (as I said, you can just get it if you accidently host a game with bots) will make the percentages a bit lower. but I don’t know how much lower.

All I know is that the Ps5 community has been hit and discouraged since the big bugs

Last Steam Record, so far!

No, its very low, because its just to play any kind of multiplayer game. I never played a single match of ranked or against anyone and I have it because I played with a friend against AI.

If single playing and co-op are the most popular, the multiplayer-main crowd is not that big compared to everyone else.

It’s so funny that just the addition of community quests increased the player number by a bit. Not even balance patches could do that.

This is pretty typical for games in the series. There was a similar short-term surge after the Arena of the Gods was added; new content, even just random portraits, tends to draw some people back in temporarily.

???

Do not do “the conclusions” solely based on Yourself…

These analytics are far more complex, than You think. Look at how many people have not complete the very first mission of the Fall of the Trident campaign.

Also the “multiplayer people” are not Your “rivals” as You probably believe in.

I do not really understand this “Us against Them” mentality.

What…? I used an example of how single-player players are being counted on this achievement, because a single game with a friend against AI is enough (and playing with a friend against AI is the second most popular thing that single player players do). If you compare with other age games with win multiplayer its always lower.

You said its high I said its low. No conclusions.

I’m ignoring them. Anyone that don’t have even one achievement basically never started the game. (I still dont understand why Steam still counts people that did not played the game or only opened and closed it)

No one here said they are rivals…? No idea where you are comming from.

You make 0 sense my guy, get some sleep.

Because the AI is not very good.

Its because most of us that stopped playing is because we cant even launch the game, I just get a blackscreen and I been like this for more than 2 weeks already, and I knoe many people is having this issue as well.

Bug fixes for things are badly needed as well as performance improvements.

Give more game options like disable Wonders in games already and add a classic mode to be able to play the game more like the old version of the game would be huge things for making me happy with the game as well as many others.

Horrendous matchmaking. Simple as that.
