Why not make new RTS games on AoE2 engine and give people access to AoE2 ?

Let’s talk about those 3 obvious problems,
new game or DLC does drain population from AoE2, or does mess up the gameplay like chronicles.
And let’s be honest, new games don’t have much of online population. Even if they are good.

AoE2 has a very large community , with very neat engine and both is kind of wasted.

So hear me out, what is we make on that engine for example em Rise of Nations 2, Cossack’s 4, Warcraft 4, Warlords Battle-cry 4, C&C Red Alert 4, and give people who buy it full access to AoE2.

So for example you get your Tzar: The Burden of the Crown 2 , Jurassic wars 3 or Aztec Wars 2, and after have fun with story mode and even if the game sold badly, you still can have a lot of fun with it in AoE2 PvP.

If you wanted AoE2, you probably have it by now, so I dont see how this idea could harm it.
So people play thier single player game with Robots and Dinosaurs, to come later into historical PvP.

All of these games belong or belonged to other companies,why would they remake in aoe2 engine?

We have access to A.G.E. You can change graphics and names and some mechanics.

Perhaps it’s because it’s an engine from the mid-90s and limits the ability to add new gameplay mechanics… for that reason, it’s more profitable for them to do it in Unreal Engine 5, which is also free and more flexible than the Genie Engine…

First one is kinda wrong, second one is really wrong

We are talking about an engine that still has pathing issue as of now.
