Why Poles lack of units to counter the cavalry

The Polish advantage was economy and cheap knights, but the lack of halberds and camels in the face of large herds of camels, and the unique Polish units + crossbows were not effective against units dominated by camels.I wish the balance could add halberds to the Polish army

if the opponent makes camels counter with obuch + arbalester
if the opponent makes cavalier counter with your own cheaper cavalier (+obuch if you want)

Poles can counter cavalry with MORE cavalry of their own

Winged Hussar + Obuch is also relatively cheap on gold and, as long as you reinforce faster than your opponent, will beat most melee army compositions.

In the case of Poles it’s quantity > quality, that’s their identity, if you don’t like that style, Poles aren’t for you and you should pick something like Teutons or Bulgarians instead.

Poles with Halberds would be broken because they have the strongest Hussar in the game so they would win every late game with cheap Cavalier into Hussar + Halb + BBC comps.

But their cavalry lacked a third level of defense, this makes them vulnerable to non-melee damage

I think Obuch plays an important role when facing heavy armored cavalry like aristocrat ,but I don’t think Obuch has enough mobility

Obuch is one of the most op infantry. They beat cav easily even with some pikes mixed.

Poles have cheap own cavalry, obuch and a super strong food eco bonus. Nothing more needed against other cav.
What poles actually struggle against is CA, they don’t have the best tools to deal with them.

But yeah, as nobody plays CA on the ladder anymore, it’s kinda understandable there is little complain about that

No shit lmao.
You asked why Poles lack units to counter cavalry. Do you mean cavalry archers?

What unit is the Aristocrat?
