Would a second DLC solve your problems with this DLC?

Let’s face it. The DLC was advertised with all 5 civs being in ranked, people bought it and some want it like this. It’s too late to change this DLC in the way most people want and the 3k will stay in the game.

But what about a second DLC, that adds tanguts and Tibetans and campaigns for Chinese, Koreans, and the new civs?
Would that make you happier?

  • Yes, a 2nd DLC with new civs and campaigns for the ones don’t have one would make me happy.
  • Yes, campaigns for civs that don’t have one alone would make me happy.
  • The DLC is good as it is

all the medieval Chinese civs from this dlc and new civs with campaigns into a new dlc and indirectly separate the 3k civs into this current dlc would be a step into the right direction

Depends. If this DLC has the Three Kingdoms put into a Chronicles mode, then yes.

The problem is the existence of the Three Kingdoms civs and Heroes in the main game. They should be in Chronicles.

It’s not about getting ‘extra stuff’ it’s about removing stuff that shouldn’t be in the base game, at least from ranked multiplayer.

I chose no, because for me it’s crucial what 3K civs land in Chronicles.
For me devs can even create some kind of ranked play for chronicles mode, it won’t bother me. I just don’t want to see 3K civs in main mode (campaign and ranked) as it will ruin my immersion

You know what makes me happy? Having a minidraft in the ranked lobby. So that I can ban, even if it’s only with a 50% probability, certain kingdoms civilisations.

Only the following will make me happy.
Split the DLC into two.
Put 3k into Chronicles.
Give campaigns to other two civs + Chinese. (They may choose to release the campaigns for these in later months.)

If so, i will buy this DLC and wait for a next one

I would like campaigns for the Chinese and Koreans yes. A few historical battles would also satisfy me.

Yes, Tanguts and Tibetans should definitely be added as new civs, because the community here has been asking for this for many years. The current Khitan castle and unique unit (UU) can then be relocated to the Tanguts.

The “Wei” should be reworked and receive completely “Chinese” special units and technologies. 2 new civs namely “Xianbei” and “Tuoba” should be created from the ruins of the partly false created “Wei”. The special units like the Xianbei rider and the Tiger cavalry already exist for this purpose.

I don’t think it’s too late, they could just give everyone a refund and then change the DLC.
The only thing they can do now to avoid making the launch a disaster is to move the 3k civs into Chronicles and isolate the Jurchens and Khitans from the DLC and update this in a future patch with new voicelines + campaigns for them.

I do not understand your language.. But I try it like this, they are much more historically accurate, than some other mentioned civs in relation to 3 kingdoms.

First prove for yourself here in the forum, that you know something about history… and do not get very “cheeky” after 5 days of registration.

Have you now seen, how your pissed off comment is leading yout into the offside?

Hell, they don’t even need to isolate the Jurchens and Khitans. Just move the Three Kingdoms to Chronicles and people will buy it and likely retract their negative reviews.

If the civs are renamed and the heroes removed from MP? Most certainly.

Adding new civilizations and campaigns doesnt change the key fact that this DLC is breaking with what AoE2 is and adding short lived warlrods instead of civilizations.

Not really because there are a lot of things to fix. So, I voted No.

-The 3K civs should go to chronicles
-Khitans should be reworked.
-All the other civ concepts feel rushed as well.
-The designs (castles, assets, voice lines, etc) are bad too.
-There needs to be campaigns for each new civ.
-Desired civs like tanguts, tibetans, and bais (dali).

If anything, the dlc feels poorly done and rushed. No effort at all.

Woah woah woah…you mention the DLC is rushed without mentioning that it ends in 208, before the Three Kingdoms period even started

What can I say. They didn’t do their homework obviously.
Add that to the fact that we have Khitanguts lmao.

A 2nd DLC would make me happy. And a 3rd and a 4th and so on.

Not every DLC will hit with everyone, it’s always possible they will come back to things they missed in the future.

As I understand your post, that means 3K in ranked. So no.

If 3K is out of ranked (best would be in Chronicles I suppose), then yes absolutely.

Moreover, Microsoft absolutely can call off the DLC and refund people who pre-purchased. They won’t, but it is technically possible.
