Would you like a campaign in the prehistoric era?

Such content could be located within RoR. The talk is about campaign only, not skirmish.

Of course we don’t have a written history of those times, but there is some consensus on how to reconstruct it. This campaign could show how the migration of humanity from Africa to Europe and Asia took place, wars (or not wars?) with Neanderthals and Denisovans, hunting mammoths and cave bears, invention of tools, creation of cave drawings, domestication of dogs and other animals.

The technical part of the game would be limited. We can’t have a bunch of buildings, a forge, upgrades, or wololo. But there would be a place around the fire where women process the harvested skins and sew clothes, and hunters must periodically create new spears for themselves. Units that are slightly wounded recover over time. Those who are severely wounded lose what remains of their health and die anyway.

It would be possible to show the struggle of the first alphas for power over tribes, invention of religion, discovery of sea, abduction of women from other tribes and many other interesting things.

Personally, I would like such a campaign of 5-6 missions or at least a large single-player scenario. But this, of course, requires the development of unique mechanics.

There’s a custom scenario made by philtydelphia called “the last neanderthal” set in prehistory if you’re interested.

Only if the UU are Mammoths

Yeah, maybe they can remake it and put it in RoR so that it can only be played in the Stone Age and maybe Tool Age…
