Rise of the Trident?

I want a Poseidon Atlanten hybrid civilisation, even if it’s just campaign exclusive.

A new civilization with a new campaign for them that takes place before anything else in timeline would be welcomed.

I originally thought that the Immortal Pillars DLC would predate the fall of Trident, I would have no problem adding to the game’s Lore even without adding a new Civilization or new gods. The story of Arcantos is fascinating and can be very well used to narrate a previous story,
Now, if there was the possibility of adding some idea of ancient myths or deities they could well use the Sumerians, Persians or Babylonians although I think that beyond that the narrative should stand out first and foremost.

imagine a campaing of arkantos helping gilgamesh.

Even if they don’t do new civs, it would be nice to have some new campaigns. AoM has always had strong single player content.

Having some campaign packs exploring original character’s adventures, or other myths would be nice.

Hope so… Even better, include 4th major God… Like in Greece with Demeter or “maybe” Hestia with its new tech, unit, myth units and new minor gods and their god powers

Just like Freyr and his minor gods that been included in Reginleif part before Arkantos and co. go to meet Loki that disguised as old man in Fall of the Trident campaign in Retold

Stories about past are always worse since there is no suspension about what will happen. It is like watching some B-tier series like House of The Dragon or Young Sheldon.

DLCs should always be continuation to succesful story and in the future. Would I buy it? Yea if it comes with new Pantheon, but I ain’t paying for just campaign.

Make a story of Arkantos falling from godhood or Ajax exploring new land (America/India?) with Odysseys. Let them meet the new pantheon and help/fight them.

Wouldn’t you like one of the most epic stories in Greek mythology before the fall of the trident, such as the Titanomachy and the Gigantomachy?
I would like a campaign that explains the Titanomachy and the Gigantomachy (wars that occurred before Kronos was imprisoned in Tartarus, “history before the fall of the trident”). I would like the Titanomachy campaign to culminate with this battle between the Greek army blessed by Zeus versus Kronos with his army of mythical units. That would be very epic.

Here’s the video about what I mean:

I think bundling a campaign with a new Major God would be a good idea.
This way there is not just only Single Player content.

Studies have shown that people enjoy stories more if they know how they end.
That might sound counter intuitive because most people absolutely hate spoilers but there is a reason why people like rewatching/replaying movies/games. Often they have more fun because they can focus more on all the details.

Also something that takes part before the main game can still tell a lot of new and interesting stories about new characters and places that have not been explored in AoM yet.
AoM campaigns (beside The Fall of the Trident) aren’t all that long anyway so it’s not like a series like Young Shaldon that tires to milk a mediocre franchise for hundreds of hours by making an even more mediocre prequel.

I don’t like this one. I think that would feel strange to force him to be human again just to make him playable again.

If you played Immortal Pillars you should know that this isn’t really possible for him.

He is a much better candidate for a new Campaign. His story would be very interesting to tell, he could really be ending up anywhere in the Western World. I wouldn’t expect to see him in Asia though.
