I was player 1, using the BLUE color (named 1v4n94), and yet I could see a waypoint belonging to one of the RED players.

Hello @SlenderBadger98

Checking your screenshot I can see two players having the same color. Do you have the record of the game?

No, unfortunately I don’t have a recording. The color red appears shared with two players because I had enabled the friend or foe setting before the moment I took the screenshot; sadly I did not notice that beforehand.

We are not able to reproduce this issue, but it could be one of those bugs that happens very rarely in the game. If you come across this issue again, please try to attach the record game to this post, so we can investigate it further.

Thanks for your help!

Found the issue again via Random Map through Return of Rome: the game showed me a gather point I was not interested in since it belonged to other player rather than myself:
gatherbug

The placeholder texture error was already reported here.

Do you have the record of the game, so we can investigate this further?

You can send those files via: gofile.io

No, I don’t, yet I experienced the bug again in build 127161. I think the bug is about waypoints in general, not just gather points like I said before. In the last occurrence I witnessed, one would show up on top of my villager when being under attack. The waypoint had the color of the player attacking my villager, similarly to the the screens I shared previously on this thread, where the waypoints shown were not related to my player at all.

Basically I saw waypoints of opponents instead of just my own waypoints.

I found this issue again in build 101.103.14579.0 (#145651) 18584412. In this case, I (blue player) found one of red player’s heavy transport ships having a waypoint on top of it, via Bronze Age art of war custom scenario:

I already replied to you in DMs but I guess this could be interesting for others as well:

this is actually not a bug but rather a flag indicating that units are garrisoned inside this building. That’s something Return of Rome carried over from AoE 2.

So basically it is a feature that makes it possible for a player to know when other players’ buildings and units are garrisoning/safeguarding or transporting other units

Yup, correct. Maybe its a bit unlucky that they have the same shape as the waypoint flags.
